Green Electricity Initiative

Integris Accelerates Sustainability through Green Electricity Initiative reducing our carbon footprint in ballistic protection.
29 Jan, 2025

Integris Composites is a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance materials in advanced composites, and now the company further commits to sustainability by buying green electricity for its facilities in Denmark.

From January 2025 and for the following three years, the company will purchase certificates equivalent to 1,100,000 kWh of electricity per year from Kvosted Solar Park. These certificates ensure that the electricity consumed is matched by green energy produced exclusively by solar cells, documented through auditor-approved guarantees of origin.

Using renewable energy sources for production is a natural part of the company’s commitment to sustainability and is an important step in reducing the carbon footprint. This initiative does not stand alone. In addition to sourcing green energy, Integris is actively exploring potential energy optimization projects to further enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the operations.

Besides environmental measures, Integris has stressed corporate responsibility on social and governance aspects. The company is committed to aligning its operations with sustainable best practices, promoting transparency, efficiency, and innovation.

“Sourcing renewable energy is a natural step in our journey towards a more sustainable production. However, it is crucial that this initiative does not stand alone. Sustainability should be as natural to our business as making high-quality products.” – Stine Bech Aakerlund, Continuous Improvement Manager at Integris Composites
