Integris Goleta Operations is home to the Vehicle Center of Excellence (VCoE). This office brings together disciplines such as Program Management, Mechanical Engineering and Design, Systems Engineering, System Safety, and a premier team specializing in ballistic and blast Modeling and Simulation. The VCoE leverages more than 4,000 ballistic solutions—developed both independently and in collaboration with our Ohio Operations—for integration into military and commercial ground vehicles as well as watercraft.
The VCoE is also the hub of our Active Blast Mitigation System (ABDS), for which we serve as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). ABDS is a modular, lightweight Active Blast Mitigation System (ABMS) that automatically detects IED and mine blast events, assesses the hazard to occupants, and, when required, rapidly triggers countermeasures to protect both personnel and cargo.
