CTruk Boats Sdn Bhd and Integris sign MOU at DSA 2026
CTruk Boats Sdn Bhd and Integris have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) during Defence Services Asia 2026 (DSA 2026) in Kuala Lumpur, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration on next-generation lightweight armour solutions for high-performance marine platforms.
The agreement focuses on the joint design and development of Integris’ advanced lightweight composite armour for CTruk’s new Surface Effect Ship (SES), a 40m Fast Patrol Craft engineered for enhanced operational flexibility.
Advancing survivability through innovation
The SES platform incorporates advanced ride control and stabilisation technology, enabling integration of a wide range of mission-critical systems, including weapons, surveillance equipment and ballistic protection. This design approach delivers improved mission effectiveness alongside superior survivability for both crew and onboard systems.
As part of the collaboration, Integris will develop tailored lightweight armour kits optimised for long-term durability in demanding marine environments across the Asia Pacific region. These solutions will be highly configurable, allowing adaptation to specific end-user requirements, including varying protection levels, coverage areas such as wheelhouse, engine room and weapon stations, and modular installation.
Peter Kidd from CTruk Boats Sdn Bhd commented:
“This partnership with Integris enables us to push the boundaries of what is possible in high-speed patrol craft design, combining performance with advanced protection solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
Complementary expertise
CTruk Boats Sdn Bhd brings extensive expertise in the design and manufacture of high-performance, high-efficiency marine craft, while Integris Composites contributes its proven capabilities in the development and production of lightweight composite armour systems for marine, land, aerospace and personal protection applications.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to innovation, operational effectiveness and lifecycle performance.
Jacob Abelsen, Sales Director APAC added:
